DaVinci is a bot that gives points for Clueful Chatting. If you talk well, the bot will award you, and if you talk poorly, the bot will give you a bad score. You don't have to have an activated account to start getting points from DaVinci. Your points will be carried over when your account is activated, as long as your nickname doesn't change.

Points system

The points system is the method by which DaVinci scores your chatting.

What the points mean

The more points you have, the more clueful you are. Everyone starts at 0.

What the ranks are

Lamer - Less than -1500 points.
Not clueful - Between -1500 and -1000 points.
Needs alot of work - Between -1000 and -500 points.
Needs work - Between -500 and -10 points.
Neutral - Between -10 and 25 points.
Clueful - Between 25 and 50 points.
Very clueful - Between 50 and 500 points.
Extremely clueful - Between 500 and 1000 points.
Super clueful - Between 1000 and 5000 points.
Clueful elite - More than 5000 points.

How to get points

You get 2 points for every sentence starting with a capital and ending in a punctuation mark (including smileys). You get 1 point for every sentence starting with a capital, but not ending in a punctuation mark. There is one exception to this rule, if the sentence has any of the ignored words in it.

How to lose points

You lose points with this scale, unless there is an ignored word in your line:
You lose 1 point for every sentence that doesn't fall into the above category.
You lose 5 points for the use of non-printable ASCII characters (Bold etc).
You lose 20 points for every sentence that has all capitals.
You lose 20 points for every time you use profanity.
You lose 30 points for every sentence that has no vowels.
You lose 40 points for every sentence containing 'r', or 'u' substituted for 'are' and 'you' respectively.
You lose 50 points for sending the bot a PM.

Multiplier

There is a multiplier which you are eligible for if your sentence is longer than the channel average. You can find out the channel average by typing .lineaverage.

What are ignored words/sentences

The following are ignored words that will make the sentence not count if they appear in your sentence.

brb
bbl
lol
rofl
heh
wth
wtf
hah
lmao
bbiab
grr
hmm
hrm
http:
https:
meh
grep
|
vtun
ifconfig
$
mm
gtg
wb

The following are ignored sentences:

uh[h...]
um[m...]
uhm[m...]
er[r...]
ok
ah[h...]
er[r...]m[m...]

Furthermore, lines that are just a smiley are ignored, lines that do not start with a letter are ignored, and lines that are formatted like a regex substitution are ignored.

Commands

There are a few commands to be aware of, and they all start with '.'. You can say them in a channel where DaVinci is in, or use them like this:

/dv command
/quote dv command
/msg #davinci_spam .command

(Note that the . prefix isn't needed when using /dv)

User Commands

These commands may be run by anyone.

verbose

This toggles the verbose mode of the bot. In this mode it notices you each time your points change.

vdeductions

This toggles the verbose deductions-only mode of the bot. In this mode it only notices you when you lose points. Verbose must be on for this to take effect.

vlog

This toggles the verbose log mode of the bot. In this mode it notices you why you lost or gained points. This mode is incompatible with vdeductions. Verbose mode must be on for this to take effect.

Miscellaneous

I would like that bot in my channel

Contact Cobi.

I didn't know about the points, and now I have like -1000 points

If you want, you can reset your points.

Why do you have this lame bot?

Because it promotes Clueful Chatting.

Is there any limit as to how low I can go?

Yes, once you get below -2000, the bot will kick you because you are not clueful, then will reset your points to 0.

May I have the source?

Maybe - contact Cobi.
