This is the Terms of Service for Cluenet accounts. Note that this applies in all cases. Individual servers or services may have stricter rules that you must follow when using them.

Contents

No Illegal Activity

You may not use any Cluenet service for any kind of illegal activity. Illegal activity is defined as any activity that is against the law in the United States of America, the specific location of the server, or your place of origin. This includes but is not limited to using Cluenet shells to try to hack other servers, transmitting or storing copyrighted material, and threatening others using an IRC proxy.

No Exploits or Scanners

No exploits or scanners may be stored or used on any Cluenet server. Exploits are defined as any tool that is designed to take advantage of a security flaw in a local or remote server. Scanners are defined as any tools which sweep IP ranges looking for information on local or remote servers.

Conserve Resources

Try your best to conserve resources on Cluenet services. We do not have unlimited bandwidth, CPU time, memory, hard drive space, etc, so please be considerate of others.

No Threatening or Spam Messages

You may not use ClueMail or any other Cluenet service to spam people or send them any kind of unwanted email.

Only One Account Per Person

Unless you have prior permission, you may only have one account per person. You should have no reason to use multiple accounts. If you want a different email address, talk with the admins about setting up a mail alias. If a user is found to have multiple accounts, all of that user's accounts will be deleted.

No Pornography

You may not use any Cluenet service to transmit or store pornography or links to pornography. Any found will be grounds for account deletion and a ban from all ClueNet services.

Obey All Relevant Admins

You must obey all reasonable requests made by either Cluenet admins/opers or the admins of the individual service or server in question.

No Hacking Servers

You may not attempt to hack or take down any Cluenet server or service. This includes, but is not limited to, using exploits, attempting to out step your bounds, attempting to gain access to another user's account, and running Denial of Service attacks.

Represent the Network Well

Do your best to represent the network well to others. Act respectfully in all circumstances connected to Cluenet servers or resources.

The Server is the Property of the Administrator

Each server is the property of its respective administrator and that administrator may do whatever he likes with it, including deleting your data or account. Do not complain if anything like this happens.
